Company launches new strategy focused on digitizing small and medium-sized companies in the region
Without a doubt, 2020 is a year with great challenges for different companies and industries, and SMEs are no exception. However, technology has played a fundamental role so that organizations, regardless of their size, can move better along this complex path.

Given this reality, this broad sector, like any large company, requires communication systems and solutions in a secure environment to support its operation and offer a better service. Due to the importance of the segment and understanding the need for SMEs in terms of digitalization today, Cisco launched in Latin America the new portfolio "Cisco Designed for Business".
“In March, when the pandemic started in the region, we saw that it was necessary to guarantee the continuity of SME businesses. This crisis was an opportunity for companies to grow and expand their transactions through digital transformation. Now we are in a new stage, since they took advantage of this platform, which is very complete and robust ”, highlights Carlos Torales, director of Small Business at Cisco for Latin America.
The executive guaranteed that “Cisco's commitment to small and medium-sized companies is to offer a focused portfolio, designed to take advantage of digitalization. This platform is simple, safe and economical, considering the profitability of SMEs in Latin America ”.
Likewise, enabling solutions through business partners has been essential for Cisco. “We are supporting customers in enabling digital platforms. In this sense, the strategy is linked to business partners, as our entire ecosystem is ready to support SMEs through these solutions, "said Torales.
For his part, Pedro Suárez, Small Business Development Manager, said that “this moment of transition is very important and technology is a facilitator and accelerator of business for companies. Today we see how the pandemic has had a strong impact on some sectors and organizations that have had to reinvent themselves to continue their business. Our main focus is the end user, who must make use of technological solutions every day. People need to continue operating in this new reality without worrying about technology, but we also want to make it easier for those responsible for its implementation within them ”, he concluded.
