Company in the forging industry improved production and administration processes
Maxiforja Componentes Automotivos, one of the largest forges in Brazil, has been a Totvs customer since 2001. During this period, the company gradually implemented new modules and today Totvs solutions serve all sectors of the company, with around 240 active users of the system. . Centralized and integrated information, reduction in routine and closing times, in addition to rapid adaptation to changes in legislation are some of the benefits recorded by Maxiforja.
Maxiforja's IT coordinator, Bárbara Veit, explains that the company has always sought to use the most current version of Totvs solutions and that, as it is gradual, the project's expansion was well assimilated by users. “The adaptations were very smooth. We didn't deploy all modules at once, little by little, we were adding new applications. And, in this moment of transition, we count on Totvs consultants to carry out training, leaving users able and safe to use the system”, he reports.
Among the most tangible improvements in the company's processes is inventory management. Through the WMS solution, the company measured results such as 30% increase in inventory accuracy and 25% reduction in material handling. The tool also enabled the implementation of the First In First Out (FIFO) method to order the movement of inputs and outputs in the stock.
Maxiforja also uses other Totvs applications such as ECM, intended for content management and Collaboration 2.0. More recently, the module for Freight Management (GFE) was implemented. “We are still forecasting the use of the Budget Management solution for 2015 and in 2016 we want to implement the Employee Portal”, projects Bárbara.
For the service and relationship director of the Rio Grande do Sul unit of Totvs, Richard Nogueira, the success at Maxiforja is proof of the efficiency of Totvs products for the industrial sector. “It is a project that has shown sustainable growth that we are very satisfied with. Today our software is installed throughout the company, mainly in manufacturing, with integration with logical process controls and also runs the routines of the financial and payroll area of the company, which is a supplier to large assemblers of trucks and agricultural machinery”, contextualizes.
