TISA Education 3.0, a program created by Teltec,
allows better use of new technologies in the classroom

Over two decades, Faculdade Eniac has invested in IT infrastructure to achieve concept 4 at MEC in its distance education courses (Administration, Management Processes and Human Resources), but it was in teaching training that the institution found a way to expand the use of the quality of the technological structure built and favoring the innovation process in the classroom.

Eniac was the first college to implement TISA – Education 3.0, a program promoted by the IT solutions integrator Teltec Solutions that will allow the infrastructure available in distance education to be incorporated into different educational proposals. "We want to incorporate innovative teaching strategies in the use of technologies by teachers. Thus, decisions involving the IT and pedagogical board can take a more purposeful course and the ROI will still be maximized", says the executive coordinator of Teltec Solutions, Vilson Martins Son.

Stages of the training project

The training involves 20 teachers from High School, Higher, Technological and Vocational Education. In the first stage, through face-to-face workshops held in June, teachers were trained in dynamics aimed at the production of video classes, assessments in the virtual learning environment and live mediation. The activities guided teachers to plan, model and create teaching strategies from different technologies and educational repositories. According to the executive coordinator, TISA Educação 3.0 combines Blended Learning and Active Pedagogies in an applied manner. "This contact is essential for us to know the real scenario of teacher use, their needs, difficulties and especially anxieties", he says.

The TISA Education 3.0 course consists of 32 hours of face-to-face activities and 8 hours of online activities. In face-to-face activities, the dynamics take place four days a week, 8 hours a day, with each day working on a specific learning curve. All classroom activities are focused on the teacher's teaching plan, and rely on applied collaborative work. With the training, teachers will be able to create new organizational possibilities for the educational institution, as the course takes into account the current context of the professional in the classroom, as well as the curriculum they master. At the end of the course, participants receive a certificate in Education 3.0, with a workload of 40 hours.

The course is “customizable” and can be aligned with any institution's metrics and strategic teacher training plans. “ENIAC, for example, opted for an intensive model, with workshops concentrated on four consecutive days and the participation of professors who already have good experience in the area. Normally, institutions that are starting to adopt new technologies choose to carry out one of the four-hour cycles per semester, in larger groups of professors”. TISA is the result of a doctoral research in Engineering and Knowledge Management, based on the characteristics of the knowledge society and the skills of the 21st century.
