Winning startups will receive US$ 50K

Capgemini, one of the global leaders in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announces the launch of InnovatorsRace50, a global competition for early-stage startups to showcase the potential of their products and services, or innovative applications of disruptive technologies to the market. . 
 
This special edition of the Innovators Race marks the 50th anniversary of Capgemini, celebrating the spirit of innovative entrepreneurship by offering five winning startups the opportunity to receive business support through an equity-free investment of 50,000 dollars for each, as well as networking possibilities, participation in global technology events, access to market experts and the opportunity to become a Capgemini business partner.
 
Interested parties have until February 28 to enter the global competition via www.innovatorsrace50.com. Fifty startups, distributed in five categories (ten in each), will be chosen to participate in face-to-face meetings with a panel of experts, who will nominate two finalists per category. The categories are: 
 
GOVTECH & CORPORATE COMPANIES 
FINTECH & MOBILITY 
CONSUMERS & WELLBEING 
DIGITAL PROCESSES & TRANSFORMATION
DATA & SECURITY
 
Between April and May, the ten finalists (two per category) will then have the opportunity to interact face-to-face with technology and industry experts at one of Capgemini's five Applied Innovation Exchanges (AIEs)[1] located in London, Mumbai, Munich, Paris and San Francisco. During this period, they will be able to experience this environment of immersion and transformation to explore, discover, test and apply their innovation proposal. They will also benefit from access to extensive networking with experts who will help them work on proposals and prepare for the final presentation.
 
Spectators will also be able to follow the entire web-series “InnovatorsRace50”, between September and October, at www.innovatorsrace50.com. In addition, a series titled “Unicorns” will also air on CNN International, on TV and on its website (CNNMoney.com/Unicorns) in October. To join InnovatorsRace50, CNN will publish a unique ranking of the 50 most promising startups, worth over US$ 1 billion in 2017: The Unicorns 50.
