ABES created a vacancy channel on its portal so that IT professionals can apply for job opportunities published by the entity's associates. The service has no cost.

The initiative is an ABES measure to reduce excess vacancies in the IT market. The technology area is one of the sectors that generates the most job opportunities every year. However, according to the consultancy IDC, despite so many vacancies available, the Brazilian market lacks approximately 40,000 trained professionals. Predictions for 2015 are that this number will jump to 117 thousand.

“As a representative entity of the sector, ABES seeks with this platform to reduce this gap of professionals in the sector. The objective is to make the portal the largest bank of technology vacancies in the Brazilian market to facilitate the approximation and speed up the hiring of people who meet the expectations of the companies”, explains Carlos Sacco, marketing director at ABES.

When accessing a vacancy on the portal, the candidate can view information about the hiring company, the profile of the vacancies, attach their resume and even send a message with a summary of their qualifications. This tool allows interested parties to contact members directly. There is no filter or intermediation. Resumes are not filed in an ABES database system, but redirected to the human resources department of the advertising member.
