The biggest internet event in the world, the Campus Party, which takes place from February 3 to 8, in São Paulo, will have 64,000 m², where 600 hours of activities will take place, including lectures, workshops and workshops, aimed at campus residents. There will also be an "Open Campus" area, which will bring free activities to the public. More than 8,000 Campus members and 100,000 visitors are expected.

Facebook director at opening conference
Ime Archibong, director of strategic partnerships at Facebook, will speak at the opening of the event, on February 3, at 9 pm. Archibong is responsible for integrating Facebook with a number of services from companies such as Apple, Dropbox, Microsoft, Netflix, Spotify and Uber. “It is the first time that Campus Party Brasil will have an opening conference. We had this experience in the edition held last year, in Recife, and it was very well accepted by campus residents and the general public, in addition to what is an honor to have a big name from Facebook as partners in this activity”, said, in a note, Tassia Skolaude, director of Campus Party marketing.

The Drone Wizard
Another confirmed attraction is the presence of Chris Anderson, CEO of 3D Robotics, a leading company in unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), which operates in Berkeley, San Diego, Tijuana and Mexico, and author of the best sellers “A Calda Longa”, “ Free” and “Makers” as one of the speakers. Anderson decided to set up 3D Robotics after having the idea to build a drone for his children. Due to his great interest in the subject, he created the DYI Drones social network, with the aim of bringing together other people who also created electronic parts as a hobby. Today this network gathers more than 40 thousand people. He believes that anyone can have a small factory in their garage. His mantra is the acronym DIY, the initials of Do it yourself (in Portuguese, do it yourself).

13 year old inventor
Among the masterful speakers is Shubham Banerjee, the 13-year-old boy who created a low-cost Braille printer, initially developed from Lego parts, called Braigo (BRAIle + lego). An elementary school student, he developed his masterpiece during the 2014 summer break for his school's science fair. He is the youngest entrepreneur to receive funding from Intel Capital to perfect his device, which now consumes less energy and allows automated actions, to patent and commercialize his creation.

For the 'campuseers'
The most common name for the thousands of participants who camp within the event, the “campuseiros” will have a different accommodation, provided by the Locaweb Group, through the #MeHospedaLocaweb promotion. To participate, the campus user must take a photo to show what it's like to sleep 'badly' at the Campus Party and post it on Instagran or Twitter with the hashtag #MeHospedaLocaweb. The owner of the best photo will win a stay in the glass house and will have an air-conditioned environment, comfortable bed, private video game, meals and minibar at their disposal, in addition to the host, comedian Murilo Gun, with whom he will be able to share knowledge and experiences . Each day, a different participant will have the opportunity to sleep in the glass house.

Hackathon Ford
Ford will promote the first Hackathon (software development marathon) of the automotive industry in Brazil. The developer meeting aims to stimulate the creation of applications compatible with SYNC AppLink and will award a New Ka. The SYNC AppLink system allows access to smartphone applications via voice commands, without the driver having to take their hands off the steering wheel and their eyes off the road. Participants will have 24 hours to develop their projects. "This is an event with the potential to change the relationship between the industry as a whole and the country's developer community, where the main technological trends we consume emerge", says Rogelio Golfarb, vice president of Corporate Affairs at Ford for the South America.

Phone Marathon
Telefônica is going to promote a creation marathon, in which developers will receive a wristband with temperature, luminosity and accelerometer sensors, in addition to an LED light and a vibrating alert. A jury will choose the three teams of developers with the most interesting programs for Telephony's wearable.
