Microsoft Brazil is launching the campaign I Can Program for Girls, and it starts to invite, through social networks, girls who want to learn the language of codes in a playful and fun way, who sign up, learn and earn incentives to work in the YOU. The summoning action will last until the 28/04.

The initiative will also have the support of partner NGOs that work nationally on different fronts: education, culture, technology and sport. In addition to promoting the project's dissemination, the NGOs will be responsible for organizing groups of girls for classes on the virtual platform www.eupossoprogramar.com, created by Microsoft and partners.

Participants will come into contact with the entry-level content that is offered on the site, called “Hour of Code””, Microsoft's partnership with Code.org. The exercises in this edition of the program are made with the setting of the well-known game Minecraft – which explores the imagination with the use of dynamic blocks. In this way, learning is intuitive and enjoyable for young women.

Upon completion of classes, the girls receive a certificate validated by the organization Code.org and Microsoft. Each of the future programmers will then be able to post an image of the certificate on social media with the hashtag #Epossosprogramar and challenge four friends to participate in the course.

“One of the goals of the campaign is to provide technical knowledge to girls and young women, giving them a foundation to become developers of solutions applicable in different contexts, both business and social”, says Alessandra Del Debbio, Vice President Legal and of corporate affairs, from Microsoft Brazil.

This year the campaign has the institutional support of partner organizations such as Reprograma, which carries out special training for women who are interested in dedicating themselves to a career in technology. It also has the support of Softex, the entity responsible for the operational management of the Brasil Mais TI portal, which is a national 100% program created by the Ministries of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications – MCTIC and of Education – MEC. The campaign once again has the support of Programaê!, an initiative led by Fundação Lemann and Fundação Telefônica, whose mission is to provide training to students across the country.
