CA Technologies announced the opening of the company's Technology Center in Silicon Valley, California. More than R$ 1 billion were invested to acquire a portfolio of applications, security and management.
 
With the new center, CA expands its focus on emerging technologies such as cloud, Software as a Service (SaaS), mobility and big data. The company plans to tap into the remarkable technical talent the region has to offer to expand the local workforce by up to 50%.
 
“We plan to make Silicon Valley one of our top R&D locations and explore the rich opportunity for engineering talent in the region. We will be a strong player within the tech community and the community at large," said CA Technologies CEO Mike Gregoire. "Over the years, we've acquired marquees from Silicon Valley companies such as Wily, Niku, Nimsoft and Arcot , which allowed us to start in these areas with the best talent. We are looking to build on that and establish ourselves as the preferred location for the best technical talent in the Valley."
