CA Technologies announces the release of CA Unified Infrastructure Management (CA UIM), an IT infrastructure management tool. The solution enables organizations to proactively monitor on-premises and cloud platforms – all on a single, integrated platform. The tool facilitates monitoring of servers, networks, applications, databases, storage, public and private clouds and response time from an end-user perspective, seeking to provide improvements in the user experience.

According to Rosano Moraes, Vice President of Solutions at CA Technologies for Latin America, CA UIM increases IT service reliability and team productivity, with analytical solutions and instant alerts. These improvements allow preventive measures to be taken to increase IT effectiveness. With “response time” analysis, for example, it is possible to predictively calculate and identify threats to performance and alert managers to resolve potential problems before they impact the user. There is even functionality to accurately determine real and persistent performance issues, differentiating them from false alarms.

“IT organizations face a growing need to develop and deploy applications accurately and quickly, while meeting user demand for reliability and responsiveness. CA UIM's scalability and end-to-end monitoring capabilities help IT organizations and service providers address infrastructure issues that can impact the user experience by enabling IT to proactively identify and resolve issues and, thus, guarantee a quality performance to the most critical IT services”, explains Moraes,

CA UIM combines the best capabilities of CA Nimsoft Monitor with updates that optimize tools that work with Amazon Web Services (AWS), bringing functionality to support additional services and improve support for AWS cloud services such as Amazon Relational Database Services ( RDS), Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon ElastiCache, and Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS), plus new support for custom metrics with AWS.

CA Technologies also announces a new version of the CA Unified Infrastructure Management Snap (formerly CA Nimsoft Monitor Snap). Downloaded by over 10,000 users worldwide, this feature is free for monitoring up to 30 devices. Among the new features are response time tracking for Analytics, alarm history viewing and improved reporting. The Snap can be downloaded from this link: http://www.ca.com/us/lpg/nimsoft-monitor-snap/register.aspx.
