Promoted by IBM, C0D3RS CHAMPIONSHIP is available on Prime Video and shows how developers in the region are changing the world using the cloud and Artificial Intelligence, among other technologies.

With the presentation of Bianca Comparato, this is a competition in which we will see how programming transforms our reality through innovative solutions that positively impact our daily lives.

This month, Latin America screens are full of technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, cloud, code and, above all, a lot of regional talent. Under this premise, IBM, together with Ogilvy Argentina and the Argentinean content producer, StoryLab, announce C0D3RS CHAMPIONSHIP, the first miniseries that seeks to inspire, empower and drive the impact of technology through programming. This series shows the world of developers and their main achievements generating disruptive solutions to different issues of everyday life through the use of IBM technology.

Through eight episodes available on the platform Prime Video, the miniseries features some of the Latin American protagonists behind the code. They are men and women from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela who put their knowledge to the test while innovating with IBM technology to solve different real challenges in sectors such as banking, agriculture, education, automotive, among others. others.

“The job market continues to evolve by leaps and bounds and increasingly requires totally disruptive talent and skills to create a new world. That's why IBM continues to cultivate new sources of STEM talent in the region. We want to inspire people to create the future together, starting today. And in that, we all have a more than main role”, said Tonny Martins, General Manager of IBM Technology for Latin America.

Opportunities on the agenda

The World Economic Forum estimates that 133 million new jobs will emerge in 2022, the result of a new division of labor between people, computers and algorithms. Many of them will be better paid and less repetitive, but people will need a new skill set to do them, as the world in code doesn't write itself.

“Just as stories are written in words, the future of innovation is written in code. That is why we continue to promote talent in Latin America so that, through technology, they can solve the various problems in our region. At IBM, we are committed to developing these new skills and we promote various projects, such as the Behind The Code Marathon, Call for Code and hackathons. We are convinced that innovation comes from the hand of great professionals working in an open and collaborative way, and that we will continue to transform the world with code,” said Martins.

IBM works alongside the entire innovation ecosystem to co-create effective solutions to different societal and business issues. IBM has continued to push humanity into the future for 111 years.
