BSA|The Software Alliance announces the hiring of Antonio Eduardo Mendes da Silva (Pitanga), for the position of Country Manager in Brazil. Pitanga worked at Autodesk, where he developed and structured the entire area of License Compliance, as well as implemented the company's Software Asset Management Program - SAM (Software Asset Management) - and held the position of vice-president of the Brazilian Committee of BSA in the company. 

The executive also integrates the board of directors of ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies), and represented the association before the CNCP (National Council to Combat Piracy and Crimes against Intellectual Property) for more than six years. In addition, Pitanga worked for more than 11 years at Microsoft where he accumulated experience in other areas such as: new business development, marketing, corporate sales for large, medium and small companies and license compliance.
 
As BSA's Country Manager in Brazil, the executive will manage and develop all aspects of the organization's in-country initiatives, including marketing and public relations, government relations, as well as member relations and general administration.

Graduated in electronic engineering from Universidade Estadual de São Paulo, post-graduated in marketing from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and with an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral, Pitanga, which has more than 26 years of experience in the software market, has already had initiatives recognized worldwide as World Wide Best Practices by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization).
