With the hiring, in the first half of 2017, of R$ 1.27 billion in 3,043 new financing operations aimed at large, micro, small and medium enterprises in all sectors of the economy, BRDE established itself as the first financial agent of the BNDES in the South Region, with disbursements, in indirect financing operations to the productive sectors, which exceeded in 84% the values of the second placed institution, in the period.

“From the perspective of BRDE, the results for the first half of this year are good. The main part of this balance sheet is the economic and social reflexes of the Bank's performance in promoting development, generating jobs, income and collecting taxes, ”said the CEO, Odacir Klein. In his assessment, "after a period of perplexity, entrepreneurs are strategically detaching themselves from the political issue and seeking resources for their investments". For BRDE, the exit from the prolonged economic crisis depends on these entrepreneurs, and the Bank's role is to be a source of financing and the necessary technical guidance.

In the area of technological innovation, BRDE has operated with the EMBRAPII Agreement, which aims to offer long-term credit to companies and entrepreneurs able to receive subsidized resources from EMBRAPII through its accredited units and centers. The Agreement also provides for joint actions to publicize the BRDE Inova Program and the financing lines available under the agreement. Other highlights are the financing lines MPME Inovadora (Micro and Small Innovative Company), Inovagro (Incentive Program for Technological Innovation in Agricultural Production) and Inovacred (Finep), which support projects for the development and improvement of technologies, processes, products and services, installation of companies in technology parks, construction of research and development infrastructure.

The bank also operates with the BRDE Municipalities program, through which priority will be given, in the second half of the year, to operations that do not require the Bank's Reference Equity to support infrastructure investment projects, technological development or the production of goods, with resources from programs such as PMAT, FGTS and Programa Avançar Cidades. BRDE has also prepared itself to provide services for contracting external credit, services aimed at increasing private participation in public affairs and consultancy on demand.

Infrastructure, sustainable development, renewable energy, fleet renewal and support for cooperatives and family farming are other areas in which BRDE has been active in the municipalities of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
