Brasoftware, a technology solutions provider and one of Microsoft's main partners in Brazil, completed the implementation of the complete System Center solution suite at the São Paulo Court of Justice (TJSP). The project, which impacted 50 thousand internal users, in addition to thousands external, is the largest implementation of the System Center 2012 R2 suite in the country and one of the main ones in the world.

The TJSP's initial demand was just to update System Center 2007 to the 2012 version. However, with the evolution of the project and analysis by the Tribunal's IT team, the need to implement the entire suite, which contains seven products, was raised. and now enables several other actions, in addition to monitoring the environment. The client now has more resources in addition to the technological update, such as control of automated processes, applications that allow improving the management, control and monitoring of the IT environment.

Brasoftware was selected to develop the project based on the public notice issued by the TJSP, which was looking for a company certified by Microsoft and with projects already carried out with the System Center. In addition to licensing the solution, Brasoftware carried out the implementation, training for internal teams and all project management, which lasted about 12 months.

The project execution time, strictly adhered to, was one of the points highlighted by Edivaldo Sartor, TJSP's IT coordinator. “The issue of timing was a concern from the beginning, as it is usually one of the most complicated items in a project of this magnitude. But it was completed and delivered in May 2015, one year after it started,” said Edivaldo.

Benefits

With the complete System Center suite installed, Tribunal's IT area now has backup solutions and a tool for opening a ticket and managing changes. Another benefit of the new solutions installed is the integration with other Microsoft products already present among the Tribunal's software assets.

The benefits of the complete System Center suite will ensure more qualified and effective services by the IT team. “The level of service we deliver to the end user of TJSP will be much higher. With the tool working perfectly and with several new features available, we were able to resolve calls more quickly or even prevent outages with proactive monitoring. Certainly, we will have more satisfied users, who will be able to carry out their day-to-day work with more tranquility and confidence in the IT structure”, completed Edivaldo.

customization

In a project of this proportion, the main challenge is to customize the environment, explains Attília Capella, Project Manager at Brasoftware, who participated in the implementation at TJSP. “The installation of the project itself is quite automated. The most complex thing is to adapt the tool to each scenario and each court environment. There was a need for integration with various areas and teams, which was a great differential in the work carried out”, says Attília.

final products

Among the various activities carried out by Brasoftware, there is the creation of an energy consumption report for the Court's buildings, in the capital of São Paulo, in addition to a dashboard and report on the end-user experience of the Court's main application. Also, the implementation of monitoring the infrastructure of servers, applications, Database, storage, hosts of the virtualized environment, services, network equipment, URL, updated antivirus solution, among other components that are interconnected in the computing environment. Finally, the creation of a dashboard with the map of the state of São Paulo showing the availability of the environment by Legal Circumscription.

Brasoftware was responsible for the architecture, implementation, configuration, customization and testing of the infrastructure in high availability and for the implementation of the Suite's products. “There is still a lot to extract from the tools, but we have already noticed the agility that the completion of the project has brought to our team”, concluded Edivaldo Sartor.
