RSA's Anti-Fraud Command Center (AFCC) fraud report identified that in September Brazil was responsible for 4% of all phishing attacks on companies, when cybercriminals try to acquire sensitive information from users on the Internet. The ranking was led by the United States (28%), followed by the United Kingdom (13%) and India (7%).

There were 49,119 phishing attacks around the world in the period, registering a growth of 36% compared to August. Of this total of online frauds, 3% were hosted in Brazilian territory. The countries that most originated attacks were the United States (42%), Germany and Canada (6% each). Brazil still trailed the Netherlands (5%), Russia, the United Kingdom, Colombia and France (4% each). click here to access the report.

Faced with such growth in cyber-attacks, RSA has developed, in partnership with the NCSA (National Cybercrime Security Alliance), in the United States, the Online Identify Risk Calculator. In ten questions, the tool helps users identify risky activities in their Internet routine and classifies the level of their online behavior as high, medium and low risk.

The test is free and can be performed through the game's website (www.brazil.emc.com/fraudgame).
