The Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) and the government of France signed the Brazil-France Cooperation Program in Industrial RD&I, through which interested companies can apply to receive public funds for projects. The objective is to stimulate the joint development of industrial RD&I projects between Brazilian and French companies through a service to search for partners and finance, using resources from Bpifrance, on the French side, and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development ( BNDES) and other development institutions on the Brazilian side.
 
To participate in the public notice, companies must maintain prior contact, directly or through the program's website (www.brasilfranca.mdic.gov.br), to negotiate the project and define how the tasks and results will be divided. obtained from the research, both in terms of intellectual property and the production and commercialization itself.
 
The areas covered are in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sectors, integrated urban development (ie Smart cities and smart electric grids), biotechnology, green chemistry, biofuels, health, oil and gas, energy and cosmetics, which result in the development of new products, processes or services of industrial application, leading to commercialization in domestic and/or global markets. Companies supported to develop joint RD&I projects with EMBRAPII Units may also apply for reimbursable financing from BNDES and other development institutions.
 
The Call is open until October 30, 2016. A standing management committee will evaluate projects as they are presented and, once approved, will forward them for funding.
