Continuing with its expansion strategy, the Bossa Nova Investments, an investment company led by entrepreneurs Pierre Schurmann and João Kepler, announces the investment in nine startups. With more than 150 in the portfolio, the projection is to reach a number above a thousand contributions by mid-2020. The investment is usually between R$ 100 thousand and R$ 800 thousand, in an application range classified as Micro Venture Capital, or Micro VC.

According to João Kepler, the high number of investments already made in Brazil and the United States proves the development of a solid portfolio with great potential for return. “We seek to become a reference as the largest and most qualified angel investment company in Brazil. We are able to introduce qualified angel investors to the market who are waiting for good deals to invest and contribute”, says Kepler.

For Pierre Schurmann, in addition to capital, Bossa Nova adds experience and offers mentoring to leverage startups' businesses to achieve great 'exits' in the future. “We are creating an ecosystem formed by our investees that have added practical value to the co-founders. Through a tripod based on business, knowledge and relationships, we bring “smart money” to startups. And that, at the current stage, can be worth even more than the capital we contribute”, says Schurmann.
