Winners of the “BNDES Fintech Challenge”, Finpass, Quero Quitar and Nagro, won prizes of R$ 50 thousand, R$ 40 thousand and R$ 10 thousand, respectively

 

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) defined the three winning companies of the “BNDES Fintech Challenge”, a competition promoted by the Bank to reward innovative technological solutions aimed at the financial market. The 1st place was Finpass, whose solution includes matching between lenders and borrowers and the reverse credit auction, stimulating competition and providing better final rates for small business owners. The result was announced at a ceremony with the president Dyogo Oliveira and the director of Strategy and Digital Transformation, Ricardo Ramos, after the presentation (pitch) of the finalist fintechs, at the Bank’s headquarters, in Rio, this Monday, 26.
 
In 2nd place was fintech Quero Quitar, with an innovative credit recovery platform to facilitate debt renegotiation and settlement. The 3rd place was Nagro, with a solution that involves technology and specialized technical knowledge to facilitate and speed up credit for agribusiness. In addition to the certificate, the winners won prizes of R$ 50 thousand, R$ 40 thousand and R$ 10 thousand, respectively.
 
Launched in July of this year, the “BNDES Fintech Challenge” aimed to foster the ecosystem, encourage the development of solutions to problems of access to credit and help in the dissemination and promotion of products and services offered by fintechs. Of the 41 companies enrolled in the contest, 34 met the requirements set out in challenges related to credit analysis, identification of potential customers, integration with digital platforms, impact assessment, digitization of the credit granting process, blockchain and digital currencies, fraud prevention and other tools to facilitate credit to micro, small and medium-sized companies.
 
In addition to the three winners, seven other fintechs defended their proposals in 10-minute presentations to the evaluation panel (formed by representatives from BNDES, ABDE, Endeavor, Sebrae and Domo Invest). They were: COSOL, Datta, Go Credit Soluções Financeiras, Moeda Semente, Nuvemsis-Marketup, Omiexperience and TCL Soluções.
 
Accreditation of fintechs – During the event, president Dyogo Oliveira also announced the launch of the accreditation of Fintechs in the Education and Financial Management segments in MSME channel, a digital credit platform created to simplify and speed up access by micro, small and medium-sized companies to the Bank's resources. The objective is for accredited fintechs to act as BNDES partners, offering their solutions to contribute to the development of smaller companies' businesses.
