The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) opened a public consultation on January 17 to select projects for technological solutions for fintechs (a segment of nascent companies, or startups, that create innovations in the area of financial services, with processes based on technology ) to join the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Developer Channel.

According to the BNDES, the objective is to identify technological solutions in the market for services to be offered by the bank to smaller companies, such as financial education, credit analysis, promotion of financial solutions between customers and credit transfer agents and reverse auctions of credit for financing.

The expectation is that this integration with the most modern tools will increase the access of small entrepreneurs to BNDES financing, as it will improve the credit profile of MSMEs. At the same time, the initiative could lead to the professionalization of small business financial management.

Suppliers interested in participating in the public consultation must prove that the tool presented meets at least 50% of the requirements listed for each intended subject. The solution must be operationally available on the market for at least one year. In addition, there is a requirement for the company to be legally constituted and registered as a limited liability company or corporation.

The deadline for receiving proposals is March 15th.

O MSME Developer Channel is a digital environment in which companies with annual revenues of up to R$ 300 million can express interest in financing, without having to visit a fund transfer agent to start seeking financial support from BNDES for their projects, informed the institution's press office. .
