Entrepreneur will accelerate company growth
THE Blockbit, a company specializing in the cybersecurity market, announces the return of Eduardo Bouças as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As the founder of Blockbit, he led the company as CEO from its foundation in 2016 until 2019, when he became Chairman of the Board of Directors. Now, the entrepreneur returns to command to start a new phase of expansion.

Eduardo Bouças
Eduardo Bouças is a pioneer in cybersecurity. In addition to Blockbit, he is also the founder of Cipher, a cybersecurity company created in 2000 that had his leadership as CEO from the beginning to make it a multinational market leader in more than 15 countries. As head of Cipher, he led two multi-million rounds of Private Equity investments. In 2019, as the majority shareholder, the entrepreneur closed the sale of Cipher to Prosegur and at this moment Cipher has become the global cybersecurity division of the European giant, a world reference in the private security industry. With the agreement, Eduardo became the Global CEO of Prosegur Cybersecurity, while also serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Blockbit. Now, Eduardo is back as CEO of Blockbit.
With a degree in Production Engineering from PUC-Rio and a postgraduate degree from Harvard Business School in the OPM program, Eduardo served for years as coordinator of the ABNT systems security group and served as a member of the ISO global committee for information security standards . He is currently a member of the Young Presidents' Organization of Miami (YPO Miami), the Harvard Business School Club of South Florida and the Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of South Florida. A great technology enthusiast, the executive also took on other fronts. He founded Votix, a leading American company in corporate software for drone automation, of which he is Chairman of the Board of Directors, and is the main investor in Bossa Concept and Coolrated, American fashion tech companies.
As of today's announcement, Bouças will intensify investment in technology and in the company's products, and will accelerate market operations by strengthening strategic alliances and partnerships. The company's digital security portfolio is already a reference in the market and will expand to the most diverse sectors. “We are going to expand and always following our principles of quality, innovation and customer focus”, says the CEO.
