Selected will participate in innovation week in Washington

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) launched a competition to select 15 startups from Latin America and the Caribbean that will participate, between December 1 and 3, in a journey of knowledge, innovation and networking in Washington (USA). Those chosen will work for two days with Fly Garage, an incubator created by Mondelez Internacional.

Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years old and be founders or co-founders of the startups, which must be active for at least one year and at most two years. In addition, they should focus on technology in one of the following categories: social change, cities and climate change, health and well-being, education and open knowledge, government and citizen participation, games for social good, and financial services.

Applications are open until July 16th and must be done through the website iadb.org. It is mandatory to send a video of no more than two minutes, via YouTube, in which the candidate presents their qualifications and explains the reasons for their startup to be selected. Those chosen will be notified by email in mid-September.
