Eduardo Silva, IT manager at Caloi, says that the contribution made by the new management led the organization to invest in the adoption of new technological tools towards the Digital Transformation of the company, which employs more than 700 employees, has a technology and logistics center in Atibaia (SP) and factory in Manaus, considered the largest in the world in the bicycle industry outside of Southeast Asia, with the production of more than 800 thousand units per year. With the sale of control to Dorel, Caloi started to produce bicycles from other brands of the Canadian group, such as Cannondale, Schwinn and GT, all destined for the domestic market.
“What motivated us to implement a system for B2B based on Salesforce was the search for a solution that would improve the sales and order cycle, which had a department dedicated to checking prices, terms, discounts, carriers, etc. We had the need to reduce this time to increase the efficiency of sales and delivery processes”, explains Eduardo Silva.
“The Magic xpi platform was an indication of Salesforce itself and, after a thorough analysis, the tool proved, in fact, to be the most adequate, delivering more for the lowest cost for the project. Automatic order verification with the integration has increased productivity, reduced delivery time and made the customer happier. The same team – which used to spend its time checking orders – started to dedicate itself to other tasks related to Caloi's business”, he says.
“The integration provided by the Magic xpi tool positively reflected in greater competitiveness for Caloi, something that is very well regarded by the company's management and investors”, he highlights. For the future, Eduardo Silva points out the use of the Magic xpi platform with other systems complementary to SAP, in various areas of the company's production and business, from Payroll, Financial Planning, among other attributions, and which involve more than 300 users. “The idea is to reap better benefits and performance with the integration between the systems”, concludes the executive.
