According to Hiran Zani, innovation manager in digital farming at Bayer, the company seeks through digital technologies to protect the productive potential of crops. “Digital agriculture tools will allow, in the near future, to improve productivity combined with sustainability, focusing on the efficiency of the application of products in the crops. Precisely for this reason, it is important to always be aware of the main trends in the technology market, and initiatives like this allow us to foster new ideas in the sector”, he said.
“The winners will be able to present themselves at the Brazil-Germany Innovation Congress, receive a diagnosis and follow-up over three months and will have the possibility of receiving investment from BMG UpTech in exchange for a minority stake. The winning projects will also be eligible for the Ideias4Action Award, from the World Bank.
