Baita, a startup accelerator from Campinas (SP), presented to the market the startups that participated in its first acceleration class, on July 17, at the Eldorado Research Institute. “It was a very popular event and was attended by investors, mentors, incubators, several partners, as well as participants from the national entrepreneurship ecosystem, including ABES”, said Rosana Jamal Fernandes, managing partner of Baita.

On the accelerator's first Demo Day, 9 startups presented deals in various market areas. According to Rosana, these were solutions for the Internet of Things, ‎M2M, ‎Hardware and not so conventional segments, such as irrigation, poultry, aviation, oil and gas. “We also had startups with software with robust algorithms for the financial market, brain training, telemetry, among others”, he added. “It was a show of innovation with truly technological proposals”, evaluated Guilherme Junqueira, executive director of the Brazilian Association of Startups.

“It was important to interact with startups to present ABES and the services we can offer to help them”, highlighted Carlos Sacco, the association's marketing director, referring to the Support Program for Incubators and Startups, which promotes fundamental services for start-up companies to accelerate and qualify their development, as well as to benefit from specialized guidance to increase their chances of success and longevity, in addition to the services of certificates and health insurance, among others. “An important aspect is that most startups at this Demo Day already have their solution in the cloud and we have seen a great interest from entrepreneurs in responding to the sectoral survey that will be launched by the ABES SaaS Committee”.

The Baita Acceleradora program has the support of the Startup Brasil program, the MCTI – Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and the Softex Campinas Center. It lasts 6 months with full support from the accelerator's partners, highly experienced in the technology area, and from market mentors.
