AVEVA Unified Learning platform now includes Microlearning, the result of a partnership with Axonify

AVEVA, a global reference in engineering and industrial software, announced the offer of adaptive micro-learning resources with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Industry 4.0, as an integral part of the AVEVA Unified Learning software. The solution is the result of a partnership with Axonify, a B2B SaaS company and one of the leading companies in the microlearning sector.

This strategic partnership makes AVEVA one of the first digitization companies to provide microlearning solutions to industrial operations teams. AVEVA's offer is part of a comprehensive structure, designed to help companies develop skills, improve employee performance and promote behavioral changes.

"The learning process in the industrial environment goes through disruptive changes, in which tools such as Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality play a fundamental role in this generational transition, making the training process independent of a specific location," says Craig Resnick, vice president of ARC Advisory Group.

"The partnership between AVEVA and Axonify will not only help bring these critical training technologies to AVEVA customers, but will also help them adapt to new situations that could lead to business disruptions, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Such technologies allow replacing traditional training - which is passed from hand to hand on the factory floor - with remote training of the workforce, in the same way that industrial processes can be monitored, operated and controlled from a distance ", explains Resnick.

Through AVEVA Unified Learning, training programs generate measurable results for organizational competency needs, and benefit from three main aspects:

• Integrated platform from a single vendor, which includes simulation for training with advanced extended reality features and tools to design learning and development programs.

• Flexible installation that allows customers to choose whether to deploy in the cloud, hybrid or on-premises.

• Leveraging AI to fill knowledge gaps with personalized training.

AI microlearning adaptable to individual training needs

The training supported by Artificial Intelligence allows the advisor to monitor the students as they complete the learning tasks, simultaneously offering corrections and course suggestions when necessary, actively transforming the training experience.

The real-time analysis of the learning process allows it to be adapted to the needs of each student, creating a personalized training experience that makes the training more efficient and relevant.

"The strategic partnership with Axonify enables us to transform the way global organizations approach the employee empowerment lifecycle," says Amish Sabharwal, Global Head of Engineering at AVEVA. "By abandoning the standardized learning format, microlearning becomes better accepted.
Based on questionnaires that take into account cognitive science principles, they adapt to meet individual needs "explains Sabharwal.

Research conducted by AVEVA shows that, without adequate reinforcement, up to 90% of all knowledge learned is forgotten by people within 30 days. "By relying on Artificial Intelligence, microlearning protects investment and ensures that trainees instinctively locate all the necessary information, when they need it most," adds Amish Sabharwal.

"Employee training is a key element in an organization's digital transformation strategy, and Axonify's platform helps to promote learning retention, expand knowledge growth and lead to behavior change, which traditional methods cannot" , comments Christine Tutssel, senior vice president of global sales and co-founder of Axonify, in highlighting the ability to support the fast pace of change that today's industrial organizations demand at the beginning of their journey to build their digital skills.
