Associados se preparam para buscar recursos para inovação

ABES has been carrying out, in recent months, several actions to inform and train businessmen in the sector about raising funds available for technological innovation and development of companies in the sector. “The objective is to stimulate innovation in the work environment and help managers to transform ideas and creativity into commercially viable products and services”, explains Jamile Sabatini Marques, director of innovation and development at the entity.

This theme has been attracting an increasing number of interested parties, who attended several lectures and, more recently, enrolled in the Course “Funding for Innovation – Concepts and Practice”.

This course was promoted in June by the entity and taught by Manuela Soares, director of Inventta, a consultancy at the Instituto de Inovação, which has already helped dozens of companies to make investments in technological innovation viable, through the use of public mechanisms to support the improvement of solutions, and the structuring of more adequate projects, processes and controls.

“I can say that we had a very fruitful day in the course held by ABES and taught by Manuela”, assesses Rafael Sampaio Tentilhao, ISSX project leader, highlighting the knowledge he obtained about credit lines available for the IT market specifically, the difficulties found in the requests, the different tax benefits for companies in the sector, the lines of credit from BNDES and FINEP and success stories. “We also had a great exchange of knowledge and experiences among the participants. Several real situations were presented and discussed by those present".

Wallace Oliveira, CEO of Venki Tecnologia, points to the wide variety of programs as one of the biggest difficulties in finding financial resources for innovation projects: “There is an infinity of conditions, fees, benefits and restrictions. In this training, we were able to have a clear view of the main options for software companies and what are the best practices to achieve success in fundraising. We were also touched by the need to maintain a structure of people and processes for innovation projects, and I consider this the next step to be followed in our company", he plans.

“It was very enlightening and Manuela's presentation was very didactic and will certainly help my company to develop fundraising projects”, says Christian Rodrigo, technology manager at AG Direct. I also consider it very important that ABES holds more specific meetings to clarify each new public notice launched”, he suggests.
