ABES is supporting the realization of the Intensive Course Data Protection and Privacy: Theory and Practice, promoted by Data Privacy Brasil, under the command of its founders Bruno Bioni and Renato Leite Monteiro. According to the organizers, the objective of the course is to enable the student to advise companies in supervising their data protection and information security practices, allowing the expansion of skills with a focus on developing innovative business models and acting in the formulation of public policies, making them capable of dealing with the new regulatory and legal challenges of an increasingly data-driven and data-driven society, both in the private and public sectors.
 
The course will put the General Data Protection Law (LGDP) and the Brazilian data protection industry standards in relation to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) into perspective, providing an overview of the entire data governance and regulation ecosystem.
 
Through case studies, design thinking, comparative analysis with other jurisdictions and simulation of concrete situations, the classes will provide theoretical and practical foundations on personal data protection and privacy. For more details on programming, access here.
