Social impact businesses can be registered until the 22nd
 
Artemisia, specialized in the dissemination and promotion of social impact businesses in Brazil, is accepting applications for the Accelerator program, which seeks social impact business entrepreneurs who want to transform Brazil through startups focused on products and services intended for to classes C, D and E. Entrepreneurs of startups focused on the sectors of Education, Financial Services, Health and Housing – products and services aimed at classes C, D and E – have until February 22 to register, free of charge in the website www.artemisia.org.br
 
The Accelerator is an intensive program by ARTEMISIA through which the organization challenges entrepreneurs to test, in practice, new models of revenue, in addition to refining the social impact in an environment of co-creation and collaboration involving low-income communities, other entrepreneurs, mentors and investors. 
 
The program aims to prepare the selected businesses to achieve economic and social results on a large scale, making them more attractive to national and international investors. In the acceleration process, participants can count on an excellent networking that brings entrepreneurs closer to their peers and creates connection with mentors, in addition to having a highly qualified team available to help refine the business model, format products and services for the public. -target. As part of Artemisia's methodology, entrepreneurs are led to an immersion in a low-income community to understand the market, create prototypes of ideas and business models directly with their target audience. The program also opens doors for the entrepreneur to present the startup to investors.
 
Among Accelerator's selection criteria are social impact – businesses with products and services designed to improve the quality of life of the low-income population – entrepreneurs with a genuine intention to change Brazil for the better; scale potential (profitable models with scalable solutions); and maturity stage, that is, businesses in the initial phase: from pilot ideas to startups with products on the market and seeking rapid growth. According to Renato Kiyama, director of Acceleration, “ARTEMISIA seeks entrepreneurs who dream big when the theme is about social impact, but who are pragmatic when the theme is results.” 
 
In the last four years, Artemisia articulated, with the Accelerator program, R$ 32 million for 59 accelerated businesses. Of these, 46% received investment.
