Apex (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and ABStartups (Brazilian Startup Association) signed an agreement on May 29 to promote Brazilian startups.

“We will have programmed actions, initiatives and goals to be achieved, but the main thing is to bring startups closer to companies. Startups will be able to bring solutions to companies and export their ideas”, says Ricardo Santana, Business Director of Apex Brasil.

“We understood that it is better to get together and take our name with relevance abroad, than to continue each one alone. Brazil is looking at startups”, said Gustavo Caetano, president of ABStartups.

Four important projects were announced that will be supported by the partners: Startup Base, a database with all Brazilian startups that is already on the air; Case 2014, an event aimed at entrepreneurs and startups to be held in November this year; Pitch Corporate, an agreement with companies for startups to present their pitches directly to entrepreneurs; and International Mission, an opportunity for Brazilian startups to participate in international events to showcase their projects.
