To highlight advances in the use of blockchain and how this technology can solve the most critical problems of the IoT ecosystem, in order to maximize the business value and benefits of IoT, with security and interoperability, Andre De Castro, CEO and founder of the company Blockchain of Things, he was invited to present the main lecture of the ABES Software Conference, held on September 18 in São Paulo.

Technology executive, software developer, researcher, cryptography and finance specialist, he has been actively engaged in the bitcoin crypto industry since its creation in 2010.

De Castro believes that blockchain use goes far beyond applications in the financial world and that this peer-to-peer technology will be instrumental in stopping the threats of hacker attacks on legacy systems and cloud computing implementations, in addition to strengthening compliance and governance for autonomous systems and creating controls for the vast number of connected and decentralized devices that will be in the world in the coming years, among other applications.

The expert cites several advantages that guarantee blockchain for IoT: global presence, highly secure, fully replicable, fault-tolerant 100%, audit and custody traceability and without central dependency. "It combines scale and strength, providing a unique level of service and trust without intermediation, as well as providing the power of blockchain to industries.

De Castro spoke about the Catenis Enterprise platform, developed by his company, which provides a service integration layer to simplify and speed up the secure exchange of encrypted messages between devices, control digital assets and record immutable data. The platform was created as a solution to respond to hackers' threats to IoT devices and eliminate fraud. Access the presentation here.
