The second cycle of Vetor AG is open for applications until 05/31 and is looking for innovative technologies for the infrastructure sector

Applications are now open for the second cycle of Vetor AG, a program that seeks innovative technologies for the civil construction, engineering and infrastructure industries at Andrade Gutierrez. In 2019, Vetor brings a novelty: in addition to giving the opportunity to up to ten startups to validate pilot projects on a real scale in the largest works in Brazil, Andrade Gutierrez will also be able to hire solutions already available in the market through the Fast process. Track.

“With Vetor AG, we not only absorb new technologies, but identify which ones really work in our industry. It is a change in culture: open innovation is the way to become more competitive”, explains André Medina, Innovation manager at Andrade Gutierrez. According to him, among the main gains of the program is the reduction of costs, labor and work time.

The company carried out a diagnosis and identified nine construction challenges that the startups must solve in this cycle: agility in attracting local labor; optimization of materials logistics, reduction of heat treatment time in welds; agility in launching cables in pipes; real-time production annotation; optimized soil characterization; soil compaction in unfavorable climates; sustainable flowerbeds; and remote management.

To support the participants, Vetor AG has a coworking space at the Andrade Gutierrez office in São Paulo. The selected companies will experience a weekly monitoring routine of the application of their technologies in the works or corporate areas of AG.

Startups selected for acceleration will be supported by mentors, acceleration experts and AG technical staff to assist them during the five-month program. There is also the possibility that companies have received investments.

The registration for the Vetor AG is open until the 31st of May and can be made free of charge through the website www.vetorag.com.br. From June 1st to 10th, a multidisciplinary committee composed of directors of the construction company and external consultants will select the best candidates for the Pitch Day, which takes place on the 18th of the same month. The start of the new acceleration cycle and the Fast Track is scheduled for July 1st.

Created in 2018, and operated by Neo Ventures, a company that develops and executes innovation projects, the program received more than 300 applications in the first cycle. Of the seven startups selected, five have already been hired by Andrade Gutierrez: ConstruCODE, Controller, Levitar, Magalhães Gomes and Maply. The technologies are being used in the works in progress.
