Registration for the Ambev Hackathon goes until October 25
During the marathon, young people will be encouraged to think of broad and innovative technological solutions for a series of challenges that will be presented. “Ambev believes in the transforming power of technology, which can generate great positive changes both in the space around us and in the world”, highlights Sérgio Vezza, the company's IT director. According to the executive, the participants will be inserted in a collaborative environment conducive to the construction of good ideas.
During the hackathon, young people will be divided into groups of up to five people to develop a project to be presented at the end of the marathon. The judging panel will be formed by company leaders and by organizers of Startup Weekend, a partner in the execution of the event.
The group with the best idea will be awarded a three-day trip to the United States. There, young people will visit the facilities of Beer Garage, Ambev's innovation office in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley, as well as some startups and accelerators in the region. They will also visit Anheuser-Busch InBev's Goose Island brewery in Chicago.
Young university students and graduates from all areas residing in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro can apply, as long as they are over 18 years old. There will be space both for those with technical knowledge in programming, as well as for designers and those interested in marketing and business. To register, young people must enter the Ambev Hackathon website by October 25th and fill out the registration form.
