New features announced at Adobe Max London, the annual creativity conference
Adobe recently unveiled a robust suite of updates to its Creative Cloud platform at MAX London, its annual creativity event, including new AI capabilities for Photoshop and Illustrator. In total, seven applications have received new features that accelerate workflows, expand the use of generative AI, and reinforce the company’s commitment to accessible and safe creative innovation.
In Photoshop, one of the main advances is the new Composition Reference functionality, which allows you to transform textual descriptions into complete scenes, while maintaining detailed control over the visual structure of the image. The Select Details tool significantly improves the selection of complex elements such as hair, clothing and faces, ensuring professional results with just a few clicks. The AI-powered Color Adjustment feature also promises to speed up fine adjustments to hue, saturation and light in a responsive way. In addition, a new Actions Panel in beta now automatically suggests workflow steps, saving time and making editing easier even for novice users.
In Illustrator, the highlight is Generative Shape Fill and Text for Patterns, which uses AI to create vector graphics from prompts, allowing you to generate stylized elements in seconds. With performance improvements that make popular effects up to five times faster, the application also received interface adjustments that speed up access to menus and tools, making the experience more fluid and responsive — especially in complex workflows.
According to Vitor Gomes, Senior Marketing and Product Manager at Adobe, the new features are a leap forward in the future of digital creation. “With artificial intelligence applied ethically, we enable professionals to expand their creative power across different apps, with agility and creative insights,” he says.
