To take advantage of the creative atmosphere of the Historic Center of Salvador (BA), the founders of the Accelerator Dende Valley decided to install the company's headquarters in Pelourinho. And it is from this iconic region for Salvador and Brazil that they intend to connect entrepreneurs from all corners of the city. Especially young residents of the periphery, who will have the opportunity to access innovative qualification programs, in addition to mentoring with inspiring leaders, technology and management specialists. All in the “hands on” scheme, typical of the maker universe.

The first selection notice was launched on Thursday (11/23) and will focus on young entrepreneurs working in the fashion and arts design segments, such as music and audiovisual. In total, 30 startups will benefit in each acceleration cycle

For this, investments of up to R$ 200 thousand are foreseen, coming from partners and financiers of the private sector. This amount involves operating infrastructure and the provision of services as a constant networking system, even connecting them to investors in Brazil and abroad.

The Vale do Dendê Accelerator is the result of a union between two Salvadorans: Ítala Herta and Paulo Rogério Nunes; a miner based in Salvador: Hélio Santos; and a carioca who chose São Paulo to live: Rosenildo Ferreira. Thanks to their multiple skills and ability to communicate in the first, second and third sectors, they managed to get the project up and running in just one year.

The day-to-day management will be carried out by public relations Ítala Herta, who has extensive experience in producing large events and in community relations. We are experiencing a unique moment of prominence for the city's new artistic, musical, technological and cultural productions. We can say, without a doubt, that the time has come to promote and encourage a devolutionary look at Salvador, stimulating the creative potential of Salvadorans and giving a leading role to productions that were hitherto invisible”, highlights the operational director of the Vale do Accelerator. This is the first direct investment by the social business office Vale do Dendê, launched on November 29, 2016.
