Tegma Gestão Logística, leader in the transport of zero-kilometer vehicles and one of the main companies in the segment in the country, launches tegUP, a corporate venture capital that seeks the best technology startups in the logistics area. Entrepreneurs in the sector interested in participating in the selection can now register on the website www.tegup.com.br.

The acceleration program will give preference to companies incorporated with high potential for evolution, that are transformative or innovative, and that have already overcome the initial stage of the business to receive investments. Tegma, creator of the project, believes that it can add value to participants through its experience, competence and networking. The selected startups will have optional space for coworking, coaching, mentoring, management support and a proof-of-concept environment.

Pedro Neves, Tegma's Chief Information Technology executive, comments on the initiative. “At Tegma, we have the double challenge of sustaining highly critical operations as a logistics operator and, at the same time, giving vent to disruptive, innovative initiatives inserted in the digital world. tegUP will allow us to amplify this bimodal and convergent performance”.

tegUP is Tegma's open innovation arm, which has expanded its focus and investment in technology, to take advantage of the opportunity of the moment of transformation that the Brazilian logistics market is already experiencing. “The shared and digital economy is generating countless business opportunities, breaking paradigms and preconceived concepts of traditional management. We will mark a new time in the company, bringing innovative initiatives that will produce more operational efficiency and flexibility to overcome the challenges that are already posed in the Brazilian environment”, says Gennaro Oddone, Tegma's CEO.
