The Associação Catarinense de Tecnologia (ACATE) holds an event to launch the new headquarters of LinkLab, the Association's strategic program that aims to bring together large corporates and innovative startups so that they can do business. Installed in Joinville, at Ágora Tech Park, the new unit of the program focuses on the concept of open innovation. The inauguration featured an opening speech by the president of ACATE, Daniel Leipnitz.

At LinkLab, corporates and startups live together in an inspiring environment, which encourages exchanges and new connections. For startups, there is still the specialized support of partners from different areas, such as legal, accounting and branding. ACATE calculates a 40% rate of business success between companies and startups from the relationship structured in LinkLab.

“LinkLab Primavera was inaugurated two years ago at the ACATE Primavera Innovation Center, in Florianópolis, and consists of an open innovation program promoted by ACATE to help medium and large companies to think and act in an innovative way, connecting with startups and the entire innovation ecosystem of Santa Catarina, which is one of the most well-structured ecosystems in Latin America”, says Sílvio Kotujansky, Vice President of Market at ACATE. “In addition to helping medium and large companies, LinkLab is a great opportunity to accelerate the participation of startups from all over Brazil in the market”, he adds.

In August, LinkLab São José will also be inaugurated, forming the beginning of a network with three LinkLabs, which intends to grow to help companies from various regions in their innovation challenges. In Joinville, the ecosystem will have eight corporate companies. “LinkLab is the best gateway for companies that want to connect with innovation. Since the creation of the Ágora project, we thought that Acate should be together in this space”, says Alison Takano, commercial director of Perini Business Park.
