On March 16, the Santa Catarina Technology Companies Association (ACATE) inaugurated its new headquarters, at the ACATE Innovation Center (CIA) – Primavera, with a commitment to boosting the growth of the sector in an environment of reference for the innovation in Santa Catarina. ACATE's new corporate space is located at km 4 of SC-401, the so-called Innovation Route of Florianópolis, within a complex of more than 6 thousand m2, designed to concentrate the association's headquarters, the MIDI Technological incubator and the Instituto Internacional de Inovação – i3, together with technology companies in the Capital established in leased spaces.
“This entire structure was made possible by private investment, without dependence on public sectors and strengthening the Innovation Route. Factors such as the record demand for incubation vacancies with MIDI, an incubator recognized three times as the best in Brazil, indicate an even more promising future for the technological sector in Santa Catarina”, considers Bernard.
The ACATE Innovation Center's horizontal project occupies a two-story shed with a large lounge for coworking and a grandstand that serves as a meeting point. The property has services pay per use and high-end IT infrastructure, in a space favorable to the exchange of ideas and collaborative business. Reception is shared and 20 meeting areas are spread throughout the complex, with an auditorium and 32 rooms for rent for member companies, of which 90% are already negotiated. The plans are flexible, with units from 59 m2 to 320 m2, and the space also has a mezzanine with vending machines and bike rack.
The architect responsible for the CIA project is Guilherme Moki, specialized in corporate spaces for the technology area, with works for Google Brasil, Nokia and NSN – Nokia Siemens Network.
The opening ceremony for the CIA and the new ACATE headquarters will begin at 8:30 am, and will feature an international lecture on the importance of innovation, given by Dennis Tsu, executive director of SRI International, California. The inaugural lecture is part of the axis of the agreement “Expansion of Infrastructure for Innovation”, signed between the State Secretariat for Sustainable Economic Development (SDS) and the Santa Catarina Innovation Network (Recepeti). Enterprise on the Innovation Route
The region where the CIA is located is known as the Innovation Route, in one of the fastest growing areas in the city, forming a new commercial hub and consolidating development in adjacent neighborhoods. In this stretch of SC-401, which connects the central region of the city to the north of the island, the main technology companies of Florianópolis are concentrated, configuring an address surrounded by business opportunities and innovation.
