Association articulates an agreement of R$ 10 million with FINEP and BRDE to build a building and host projects in Sapiens Parque until 2016

The Santa Catarina Association of Technology Companies (ACATE) paved the way for the BRDE and attracted to Santa Catarina the first agreement granted in the country by the Financier of Studies and Projects of the federal government (FINEP) for the installation of small and medium-sized companies in a technology park . The financing in the amount of R$ 10 million will enable the installation of a building of about 8 thousand m2 inside Sapiens Parque, in Florianópolis, to house small and medium-sized technology companies and an ACATE hub. The work should be completed in July 2016.

The organizations involved signed the agreement this Tuesday, July 7, during the VerticAlmoço event, held at the Acate Innovation Center – CIA Primavera, in Florianópolis.

The reimbursable financing was made possible from Inovacred, from FINEP, operated by BRDE, which grants long-term funds to companies and innovative projects with differentiated interest, conditions and tariffs. Santa Catarina companies will make the payment in about 8 years. According to Rodrigo Coelho, an analyst at FINEP, the synergy with the organizations and ACATE in the delivery of information and documents led the operation to success. “In 18 years of investment focused on innovation, this is the first time that a project involving construction for the installation of small and medium-sized companies has achieved this result. After the first experience, it is worth encouraging entrepreneurs, because the next initiatives tend to be much faster”, declared the FINEP representative.

The president of ACATE, Guilherme Stark Bernard, indicates that the association intends to encourage many other companies and partnerships to replicate the model. “We have to share the project, now a pioneer in Brazil. ACATE's great interest is to be a facilitator and help to multiply the innovation environments in Santa Catarina”, he endorsed.

From the agreement, the association will receive from Sapiens Parque, owner of the land, the assignment of an area of approximately 450 square meters, for which ACATE is studying the use.

José Eduardo Fiates, executive director of Sapiens Parque, believes that the achievement with the articulation of ACATE establishes a new model of cooperation in Santa Catarina. “Investment in infrastructure with contributions from third parties and a competitive interest rate favors businesses that represent the majority of small and medium-sized companies in Santa Catarina, which cannot be decapitalized to build”.

The July edition of VerticAlmoço received the president of the Centro de Informática e Automação de Santa Catarina (CIASC), Roberto Rogério do Amaral, who spoke about the entity's new projects, the challenges of current management and the possibilities of partnership with companies in the sector. technological.
