Commissioned with IT Data, Abradisti's 2018 Sectorial Survey showed that Technology Distribution returned to growth in the country, earning more than R$11.3 billion in 2017 – an increase of 7.6% compared to the previous survey data. The survey also showed that the sector has returned to generate jobs, with more than 6,000 employees. This number is 4% higher than the one obtained at the end of 2016. Other important points are:
  • The main source of revenue in the IT distribution market in 2017 came from Hardware sales, with 65% from sales;
  • On the other hand, the group that grew the most in the last year was precisely that of products not related to Information Technology. Items such as TVs, Telephony and others had the biggest increase in the year: in all, these products increased their market share from 20.3% to 24.3%;
  • The study indicates that the IT Distribution area should grow again in 2018, strengthened by the offer of services and the inclusion of new products in the portfolio. The perspective is that the amount billed by the segment will exceed R$ 12 billion by the end of the year.
