The Informatics Law has undergone changes and brings a new model of incentives for information and communication technology (ICT) companies, replacing the tax exemptions condemned by the World Trade Organization (WTO). This legislation benefits manufacturers and developers of electronic components (chips, for example), equipment and machines (except audio and video), computer programs and specialized technical services, among other companies.

The New Informatics Law was regulated by Decree nº 10.356 / 2020 and brings changes in the formula for calculating incentives, conditions, the approval process for innovation proposals, presentation of reports, among other adjustments.
