THEME: Possible futures. Will technology bring us closer?
We are living in a unique moment in the history of Humanity: experiencing global change caused by a technology that has already been compared to the atomic bomb, or the creation of the printing press. The impact waves of new technologies cannot yet be correctly measured because we are at the beginning. How can we ensure that technology will finally bring out the best in humanity?

Speaker:
Silvio Meira (Chief Scientist, TDS.company & Extraordinary Professor, CESAR.school)

Moderation:
Loren Spíndola (Leader of the Artificial Intelligence Committee and Leader of the Cybersecurity Committee – ABES)

Round Table 1

THEME: Regulation, public policies and innovation – the challenge of getting things right
Technology accelerates quickly. Regulation, not so much. Adjusting the step between the two is the urgency of the present to ensure a sustainable digital future. The challenge is global and needs to involve society, governments and private companies. What is Brazil doing? And how are other countries facing the same challenge? Is it possible to think about global regulation for technology?

Paulo Pereira
(Executive Secretary of the Council for Sustainable Economic and Social Development of the Ministry of Institutional Relations)
Priscila Reis (Lawyer specializing in technology, co-founder of Layer Two consultancy, master in Intelligence Technologies with an emphasis on artificial intelligence)

Round Table 3

THEME: Smart Cities – data and technology in favor of citizenship
The use of digital technologies – AI, IoT and Analytics – and intelligent management of the profusion of data generated in cities can contribute to digital inclusion and improving conditions and quality of life in cities of all sizes. How to increase the digitalization of public services? What infrastructure challenges lie ahead for managers? How to empower public management to make cities more efficient digital ecosystems?

Speakers:
Paula Faria
(CEO of Necta | Smart Cities, Mobility, Air Transport, PPPs and Infrastructure)
Paulo Pandolfi (Co-founder and Director of Colab)

Round Table 4

THEME: Human-centered – The urgency of technological proficiency in a digital society
A study by Goldman Sachs points out that world GDP could increase by 7% in ten years due to Generative AI. Technology can affect the work routine of 300 million people, improving productivity or making them obsolete. The urgency to empower people of all generations for the digital economy only increases. What can we do to accelerate initiatives? What are other countries doing about it?

Mariane Guerra
(VP of human resources for Latin America at ADP Systems)

In 2023, the ESG moment joins the urgency of the climate crisis. Alongside concepts such as sustainability, governance, inclusion and diversity comes the challenge of creating a low-carbon economy. We are talking about electrification of the economy, clean energy sources, new infrastructure and a new source of green jobs. Are we doing our homework right?
