Digital transformation and regulatory impact were on the agenda

 

Marcos Pontes, Minister of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication; Júlio Semeghini Neto, executive secretary, and Paulo César Rezende de Carvalho Alvim, secretary of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, met this Tuesday (22) with the president of ABES, Francisco Camargo; Anselmo Gentile, executive director and Fábio Rua, member of the entity's Deliberative Council.
 

“We were able to present an overview of the sector, ABES’ concerns regarding Legal and Tax Security, as well as the need for the government to systematically promote the analysis of the regulatory impact for new laws, norms, so that the country can modernize, accelerating its digital transformation. ”, says Camargo.
 
According to the ABES director, the minister explained the new direction of the Ministry, which ranges from scientific-technological research, practical applications of technology and the creation of an environment of innovation that allows companies to develop products and services based on scientific-technological research.
 
The minister also confirmed the creation of a Planning Secretariat, to establish coordination between the different activities of the Ministry, establish objective metrics and the achievement of goals. “As the minister said, the money belongs to the taxpayer, its return to society has to be measured”, highlights Camargo.
 
Pontes also spoke about the concern with science education, starting in childhood, and how he has been talking to the Ministry of Education about the need to teach programming, coding, for the development of structured thinking in children.
