Francisco Camargo defended legal and tax security and the promotion of innovation

President Francisco Camargo and other representatives of ABES met with the Special Secretary for Productivity, Employment and Competitiveness of the Ministry of Economy, Carlos da Costa, this Wednesday (13), in Brasília. “The discussion was very fruitful, considering that the Secretariat's goal is to digitize the Public Service”.

At the meeting, in which data from the global and Brazilian technology market were presented to the secretary, Camargo reinforced one of the strategic pillars of the entity, which is the defense of legal and tax security, one of the main assets of developed countries. “As the concept is vague, we suggest that all regulations and regulations of the Federal Government, from now on, undergo a regulatory impact analysis”.

The problem of fostering and financing innovation and the need to study a new system of guarantees for the approval of financing by official banks and other agencies was also discussed. “Including the possibility of studying a way to generate a document in public sales that can be used as collateral, a true receivable, with good liquidity possibilities”, says Camargo. “The secretary was very receptive to ABES' suggestions”, he concludes.

Also participating in the meeting were the legal director of ABES, Manoel Antonio dos Santos; Rodolfo Fücher, director of the entity; and the coordinator of the Regulatory Committee, Andriei Gutierrez.
