The meeting agenda included plans and goals for 2019
ABES held the first meeting of the year for the coordinators of Committees and Work Groups, led by Carolina Marzano, Committee advisor, with the presence of President Rodolfo Fücher and members of the Board of Directors. “At this meeting, the results obtained last year and the planning and goals for 2019 were presented. It will be a very intense year. It is enough to mention emerging themes, such as the General Data Protection Law, the prospect of tax reform in Brazil and the advancement of the IOT”, highlights Carolina.
Currently, eight Committees and Working Groups are active: Intellectual Property, Regulatory and the WG on Taxation, SaaS, IoT, Cybernetic Risks, in addition to the most recently implemented WG Data Protection, linked to the Regulatory Committee, which aims to deepen the understanding of the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018) and promote the debate on its impacts and challenges for the sector, as well as discuss proposals regarding the future regulation and implementation of the LGPD.
