Guests address issues of prevention and impacts that a security incident can have on business

Sao Paulo, May 14, 2019 - Trust and transparency are essential words for the market, especially with regard to virtual fields. The online market is still a space that generates mistrust, so legal organizations are looking for new regulations and requirements so that companies can comply and demonstrate to the consumer that their shared personal data is safe. With the Covid-19 pandemic, the major changes in the routine of the Brazilian population, whether in studies, in the way of working or even in consumption habits, significantly increased the use of technological solutions and data flow circulating over the internet. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the security of networks: with greater digital use, there is also an increase in fraud.

Investing in cybersecurity is still a challenge for the entrepreneur, the initiative can bring numerous benefits, such as business protection, customer information and the company's reputation in the market. In order to bring more reflections on the subject, the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) invites professionals from the market to discuss the topic and resolve doubts involving cybersecurity. The webinar will take place on May 19, at 6 pm, with indication for all audiences and registration is free, http://www.sympla.com.br/ABESSOFTWARE. The event will also be broadcast on the ABES on Facebook or in association YouTube channel .

According to ABES legal advisor, Dr. Thomaz Corte Real, companies need to be aware of legislative changes in relation to data security. "Despite the postponement in effect at the LGPD, we recently released a report extracted from the 'LGPD Diagnostic' tool, developed by ABES in partnership with EY, only 38% of the companies show that they are in accordance with the requirements, this is worrying. The business managers digitals need to be aware of new legislative requirements and provisional measures, as these changes have a direct impact on the routine and business of organizations ", he comments.

For this event, under the mediation of Nycholas Szucko, Director of Cybersecurity at Microsoft for Latin America, ABES brings to the table:

Dalmo Veras, Computer scientist, president of the OWASP / Florianópolis chapter and founder of 313X Cybersecurity;

Domingo Montanaro, pioneer in Cyber Intelligence in Brazil, co-founder and CEO at Ventura ERM;

Klaus Kiessling, specialist in information system, cybersecuruty and risk management. Director of Cybersecurity at LEADCOMM Performance & Security;

Roberto Gallo, CEO and Founder of KRYPTUS. President of ABIMDE - Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries.
