ABES holds elections and renews 1/3 of its Deliberative Council

Participation of associates in the selection process demonstrates the union of the sector in Brazil

São Paulo, December 8, 2023 – ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies promoted, last week, elections to renew 1/3 of its Deliberative Council. The Election Commission, composed of the executive president, Paulo Milliet Roque, the legal director Dr. Manoel Antonio dos Santos and secretariat by Anselmo Paulo Gentile, respected the statute in force and coordinated the electoral process, obeying the form and times defined in the Notice of Convocation.

According to Paulo Milliet Roque, executive president of ABES, the process is important for the good governance and management of ABES (which currently represents around 85% of the software and IT services market), and the adherence of members to the electoral process demonstrates the strength of the Brazilian technology market. “Companies in our sector are united in favor of a common good, which is a digital and less unequal Brazil. This year we reached the mark of 334 valid votes, through a completely digital process. With a strong association, we will be increasingly closer to this objective”, he declares.

The election finalizes the renewal of the Council, from which the new Executive Board will emerge in March 2024, for the three-year period 2024-2026. Councilors Maria Luiza Reis da Silva, Jeovani Ferreira Salomão, Antonio Eduardo Mendes, Neide da Silva Leite, André Sussumu Iizuka, José de Miranda Dias, Jefferson Oliveira Penteado, Jorge Fernando Prates Ribeiro, Rodrigo Jonas Fragola and Bernardo Cabral Leite Meirelles were elected. Richard Freund was elected alternate.
