In a relaxed atmosphere, ABES promoted a dinner to celebrate its 30th anniversary, on December 7th, at the Trio restaurant, in São Paulo. The event was attended by businessmen, partners, government authorities and the main leaders of other associations in the IT sector, including Assespro Nacional, Brasscom and ACATE (SC).
 
In a quick opening ceremony, Francisco Camargo, Executive President of ABES, welcomed the participants, joked that the prepared speech was long and made a special thanks to the entrepreneurs who, in 1986, founded ABES, in a historic moment in the which computing was unknown to most. Camargo recalled the challenges faced over the past 30 years, the victories won and considered that there are still obstacles to be overcome, represented by the complexity of Brazilian legislation, which impacts the development of the IT sector.

Marcelo Pagotti, Secretary of Information Technology at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Management, was one of the guests and spoke about the agency's commitment to improving and reducing bureaucracy in the digital government, providing transparency and improving the quality of services to meet the demands of the population .
 
Who also congratulated ABES for its 30 years, in a quick speech, was Julio Semeghini, Undersecretary of Technology and Citizen Service of the Government of the State of São Paulo, who recalled his times as an engineer and entrepreneur in the IT sector.
 
Daniel Annenberg, who will be the Secretary of Innovation and Technology for the City of São Paulo in 2017, highlighted the importance of new technologies and software companies. He commented on the municipal plans to digitize and increase the efficiency of public services, expanding the population's access to the internet, in order to promote the democratic use of new technologies.
 
In closing, Jorge Sukarie, who is currently president of the ABES Deliberative Council, spoke of his confidence in the resumption of economic growth, despite recognizing that 2016 was a challenging year, marked by the crisis in Brazil and changes in the international scenario. Alongside Francisco Camargo and former presidents of the association, Sukarie invited everyone to raise their glasses and toast the 30 years of the entity.
 
The dinner was kept relaxed by the DJ, who played electronic music hits from the 80s and 90s and enlivened conversations among the guests. Check the photo gallery here.
