Meeting is an opportunity for integration between startups, companies and investors

The startup concept became popular in the 1990s in the United States, with the development of the internet and the emergence of small and creative companies linked to digital entrepreneurship, which broke with management paradigms, creating innovation and value from an investment low start. Since then, this business model has evolved, broken boundaries and has positively collaborated with technological evolution and digital transformation in different sectors.

To discuss the Brazilian startup ecosystem and global trends in the area, ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies will promote on October 19, 2016, from 2 pm, the event “ABES and the World of Startups”, at the Hotel Bourbon Ibirapuera – Av. Ibirapuera, 2927 – Macuco Room. Open to the public, registration is free and can be done by calling (11) 3266 2450 or e-mail abesvespertino@comarteventos.com.br.

Presentations are scheduled with: Alan Leite, CEO of Startup Farm, a leading private accelerator in Latin America; Felipe Ninni – Business Manager at INSEED Investimentos; ; and Jamile Sabatini Marques, Director of Innovation and Development at ABES; Andriei Gutierrez, Brazil Coordinator, Digital Country and Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs Manager at IBM Brazil; Vanda Scartezini, director of Polo Consultores Associados; and Renato Intakli, which will talk about the success case of Parallaxis Startup.

“This event is an opportunity for integration between our associates, startups, accelerators, investors and new entrepreneurs. We want to show how the startups can be integrated into the innovation strategies of small, medium and large companies, increasing the process of developing innovative solutions and accelerating business growth”, he explained. Jamile Sabatini Marques, Director of Innovation and Development at ABES.

“We brought together a group of professionals who were extremely involved in the development of this business model and entrepreneurship in Brazil. We are sure that it will be a meeting that will bring challenging analysis and ideas at this opportune moment for the development of new companies in the national market”, highlighted Francisco Camargo, president of ABES. The date chosen for the event is representative, as the National Innovation Day is celebrated on October 19th.

In Brazil, the number of startups has grown significantly in recent years. Innovation, technology, scalability, uncertainties, obtaining investments, mentoring, generating value, collaborative work, seeking profits and recognition are some of the aspects that make up this dynamic universe.
