The delegation will also make a series of technical visits, such as the Cisco IoT Innovation Center, the headquarters of Microsoft, Indra Systems and Barcelona Activa, the economic development agency for the city and metropolitan region of Barcelona, and the National Center for Spanish supercomputing.

The program also includes a visit to the Brazil-Catalunya Chamber of Commerce, with the presence of the Consul General of Brazil in Barcelona, Maria Elisa Berenguer, the president of the Brazil-Catalunya Chamber of Commerce, Javier Mirallas, the former executive director of UN Habitat and former mayor of Barcelona, Joan Clos, among other authorities.

“The objective of the delegation is to provide an unprecedented experience to government representatives and executives. We want to show the differentials that make Barcelona a reference when we talk about smart cities, in addition to putting them in touch with new possibilities of innovation and technologies that can be used in Brazil”, says the marketing director and co-founder of iCities, André Telles, mission organizer.
