The meeting will deal with the violation of intellectual property in the software and pay TV market

 
On November 10th, ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies) will participate in the event to Combat Piracy in the Software and Pay TV Market, which will take place at OAB / SP headquarters, at 19:00. The event is promoted by the Special Commission for Combating Piracy of the OAB-SP, with the support of the Department of Culture and Events of the OAB-SP.
 
ABES 'legal director, Dr. Manoel Antônio dos Santos, will represent the software sector and discuss the problems experienced by companies in relation to respect for the intellectual property of software in Brazil.
 
The event will also count with the participation of the President of the Special Commission to Combat Piracy at OAB SP, Dr. Eduardo Ribeiro Augusto; Antônio Eduardo Mendes da Silva, Pitanga, Country Manager at BSA - The Software Alliance; Antônio Salles Neto, Consultant and Coordinator of the Anti-Fraud Nucleus - ABTA and Pioneer in Cable TV in Brazil; and Des. José Carlos Netto, Judge of TJ SP, General Coordinator of the work Current Copyright and Representative of Escola Paulista de Magistratura.
 
An entity with 30 years of experience, ABES has been working since its foundation, among other fronts, in the defense of intellectual property and combating piracy of national or international software. Currently, the software piracy index in Brazil is 47%, according to the latest study released by BSA | The Software Alliance.
