ABES participated, this Tuesday (22/11), in the public hearing organized by the Committee on Work, Administration and Public Service, of the Chamber of Deputies, in Brasília (DF) to debate Bill No. 3,065, of 2015 , which regulates the exercise of the professions of System Analyst, Developer, Systems Engineer, Network Analyst, Database Administrator, Support and other related activities. The entity was invited by federal deputy Rôney Nemer (PP - DF), president of the commission, and represented at the meeting by the legal director of ABES, Dr. Manuel dos Santos.

In his presentation, Dr. Manoel recalled that in recent decades other bills aimed at regulating the profession have been presented, but that have not advanced, according to a survey that can be consulted in a book by Professor Roberto Bigonha, from the SBC – Brazilian Computer Society. The director also pointed out that the IT professional is present in different economic sectors and their work is present on the smartphone, in carrying out a medical exam, at the table in a restaurant – behind each click there is an IT professional. In his opinion, it will not be legislation and the creation of councils that will value the different professionals who work with IT. “Even being a representative of the employer sector, I understand that the main achievements of the category are being obtained through dialogue between unions and companies”, he observed.

Also participating in the hearing was the Director of Professional Relations at SBC – Brazilian Computer Society, Roberto Bigonha, whose work was cited by Dr. Manuel; the president of the Federation of Associations of Brazilian Information Technology Companies (National Assertion), Jeovani Solomon; the president of SEPRORGS, Diogo Rossato, and its director Rafael Sebben, who is also regional vice president of Fenainfo; the director of Institutional Relations of the Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies (Brasscom), Sergio Sgobbi.
